We can’t say much about Bob Sheldon’s chances for baseball’s Hall of Fame, but we can boast about his recent election to PR’s hall of distinction, the prestigious College of Fellows of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA).
Only 350 public relations professionals have been inducted into the College of Fellows since it was established 25 years ago. Bob, CCC’s long-time PR Director, and 14 of his peers will be inducted into this exclusive assembly in October at the PRSA 2014 International Conference in Washington, D.C.
For the past 19 years at CCC, Bob has built up a remarkable stat-line. He developed PR programs for dozens of CCC’s industrial, technical and commercial clients, first from CCC’s Minneapolis headquarters and later from his CCC outpost in San Antonio, TX. His homerun stats—placing major feature articles—are league-leading. In addition to producing and pitching PR content throughout his career, he’s been active in the PRSA, serving as president of the Minnesota PRSA chapter and later the San Antonio chapter.
Most recently, he developed a new scholarship for public relations students at the University of Texas and was awarded the San Antonio chapter’s Tex Taylor Lifetime Achievement Award for his contributions to the chapter, the community and the profession.
Admission to the PRSA College of Fellows is based on superior accomplishments in the practice of public relations over a period of at least 20 years. College of Fellows members must also demonstrate personal and professional qualities that elevate the status of the public relations profession and serve as role models for other practitioners.
When you want to obtain the most valuable editorial coverage possible, it’s good to have a Hall-of-Famer on your side. Here at CCC, we can make the claim that few B2B agencies can: We truly have the best PR talent batting for our clients.
Congratulations to our team member, Bob, on his accomplishments and dedication to his profession and CCC’s clients!
